Sometimes the risk with a long labor, or long pushing phase could be that you are so exhausted from the journey it took for you to arrive at the moment of your baby’s birth, that you might not be as present as you would have liked. As a laboring mother, all your attention will be on the birth, and all of your partners will be on you and the baby. It's hard for your partner to prioritize capturing pictures when they themselves need to be there for you and your new baby. They especially can't capture those first few moments after the birth because they will be taking it all in themselves.
